In his speech on the opening day of the exhibition, Wu Dingfa, chairman of Master Transportation, pointed out that the global issue of reducing greenhouse gas emissions is constantly heating up, and the goal of net-zero transformation is becoming more and more transparent. The fourth item of the eight carbon reductions promoted by the Berkeley Research Laboratory under the US Department of Energy is "adopting zero-pollution electric vehicles," which proves the importance of electric vehicles in the carbon reduction trend.
Dingfa Wu said that Master Transportation is the front line of bus manufacturers. We have prepared the safest and most advanced supply chain and zero-emission electric bus solutions and will join with the world to reduce carbon emissions.
In line with national policies, Master Transportation plans to promote the "Ministry of Communications Electric Bus Piloting Plan," with the policy goal of replacing 16,000 diesel buses within ten years. From 2020 to 2021, it is expected to launch four electric bus models equipped with in-wheel motors. Also, Master Transportation will apply three models for becoming piloting vehicles. In 2022, it will launch two more models equipped with central motors and will also use for piloting vehicles. Moreover, Master Transportation is taking advantage of the government's replacement of diesel buses with domestic electric buses policies. Master Transportation will provide more domestic-made electric buses to Taiwan's local market, accelerate the exportability of the buses to compete for the vast new global market, and build Taiwan brand electric vehicles and the industrial chain to the world.
Dingfa Wu revealed that under the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Executive Yuan Master Transportation has obtained 60,000 square meters of industrial land in Erlin Industrial Park and will build the Master Transportation Electric Bus Industrial Park with an annual output of 10,000 KD pieces and 3,000 full-size vehicles. It has become one of the leading supply chains of electric buses globally. Master Transportation, which has more than 18 years of experience in bus manufacturing, currently operates a 12-meter 3-door city electric bus in Chiayi City. It is designed with 72 kWh and has a daily operating mileage of 170 kilometers. The availability rate meets government requirements.
In the second quarter of 2022, long-distance intercity electric buses from Taipei to Taichung and Taipei to Kaohsiung will be launched, with a daily mileage of 1,200 kilometers to meet the needs of long-distance passengers transport.
In terms of vehicle safety structure, the Master Transportation electric bus is equipped with an in-wheel motor and lithium titanate battery combined with an integrated body and chassis design. It creates a comfortable, safe, and convenient self-designed electric bus.
