Master Transportation, as a member of Taiwan's electric bus national team, has recently received The 2021 Piloting Subsidy Program for electric buses from the Ministry of Communications. Ministry of Communications announced that Master Transportation's 12-meter and 9-meter electric buses passed the 2021 Annual Piloting Plan, with a maximum of $10 million NTD per vehicle subsidy. In the second stage of the 2021 Annual Piloting Plan, all the electric bus quotas were obtained by Master Transportation. At present, many bus operators purchasing cases are being reviewed.
The Ministry of Communications announced on February 11 that the 2021 Electric Bus Annual Piloting Plan consists of two companies, Master Transportation and RAC Electric Vehicles Inc., with three models. Both companies have obtained all the reviews and requirements for the 2021 Localization Project from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Communications. The electric bus piloting models and plans can be used by Bus operators and apply for subsidies. The 2021 Piloting Plan is valid until December 31, 2021.
To achieve the goal of "full electrification of buses by 2030". The Executive Yuan, the Ministry of Communications, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs jointly launched a piloting plan for electric buses to assist local governments and bus operators to selected high-quality electric buses to transform the city and intercity buses into electric buses. Moreover, according to the localization regulations of 10 key components in 3 years (2020, 2021, 2022), each vehicle will be given a subsidy of up to 10 million yuan to support the development of the domestic electric bus industry chain and achieve the goal of localization of electric buses.
Master Transportation pointed out that after obtaining the qualification for the 2021 Annual Piloting Project, the Changhua Bus Operator purchasing case has been approved in the first stage, and Master Transportation has acquired the second stage quota. Several applications, such as Taipei City's Shin-Shin Bus Company, Kaoshiung City's Han-Cheng Bus Traffic Company Ltd., Taichung City's Taichung Bus Company, Ltd., Yilan County's Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation Company Ltd, and other operators submitted electric bus application to the local government for review and forwarded to the Ministry of Communications for approval.
Wu, Dingfa, chairman of Master Transportation, said, "Chengyun Motors believes that fast charging is a global trend and is the only way to go. It is confident to promote the fast charging concept we developed to all metropolitan areas worldwide. At present, Master Transportation has ordered bus components for 250 electric buses from major supply chains to meet the requirements of the 2021 domestic piloting Model fully, and overseas market demand is the goal."
Chairman Wu, Dingfa emphasized that Master Transportation takes responsibility for the national team and plans to continue to promote Taiwan electric buses to the world so that the world can see DMIT(Designed and Made In Taiwan) Taiwan brand electric buses cruising on the road.
